I’d like to hear about Annette Miller’s back story.

She was raised as a mainline Protestant and embraced church teachings. However, a spiritual crisis started after her mother’s death and husband’s urgent heart surgery in 2017. Suddenly, the swelling spiritual questions that she’d so long ignored burst out. Annette felt that questions weren’t welcome in her church so she joined another church. She ended up making many changes to be able to recover including working one-on-one with a Stephen Minister. Now that she is past the crisis, she accepts having many unanswered questions about her faith. The book Daring the Dark was inspired as she searched for answers. Her spiritual life involves church, reading, writing, studying and interacting with others.

For more details about her journey, read the My Story category on the Blog page. More info is in the Introduction and Author’s Bio in Daring the Dark. Here is a 5-minute video on her YouTube channel telling her story about her spiritual crisis, why she felt her life was in danger, how Daring the Dark was written and why she wants to help people with spiritual questions: click here.
